Brief Template
To help ensure consistency across the program, we make use of a standardized brief template. The template ensures students receive the same information and structure for each project. The content of the template shown below and is also available for download below.

Overview
Give a high level description of the project that includes the following:
- Overview of the project
- Why this is relevant to our discipline (with examples)?
- What students already know and how they will be applying it to the project?
- What tools will students be using?
- How students will use the learning in the future?

This should include a list of the deliverables and a brief description.

How to Use Sourced Materials in this Project
Special instructions here about whether or not sourced materials are allowed. For example, if students are making a game with Unity, can they purchase premade 3D models to use in the game so long as they are cited? Additionally, this section should specify how you want specific things to be cited (i.e. code should be cited using comments within the code itself).

Submit project to SLATE in the “Project Name” submission folder. Only work submitted with an accurate submission checklist (see next page) with be accepted and graded.
