Standardized Grading Scale
This grading scale has been developed to help with standardization of grades between instructors across the program. The description and explanations are meant to assist you in providing feedback to students on the work they submit. Do not share the third and fourth columns with students. The first and second columns may be included/adjusted as necessary in course materials/briefs.
Parking
Paid parking is available in all of Sheridan’s lots. There are numerous passes available from the college. This Parking FAQ is a great place to start.
Coffee & Food
If you need to caffeinate, you’ve got many choices on campus: Coffee Loft (Student Union on 2nd floor), Second Cup (SCAET building), Tim Hortons (B Wing, Outside LIbrary, Self Serve in the Cafeteria), and Cafeteria Self Service. The quickest option is often the self-serve Tim’s in the cafeteria. There are two Starbucks close as well here and here. You can get the usual fare at all of the coffee stops listed above. There is also a Harvey’s, Thai Express, Subway, Pizza Pizza, and traditional rotating menu counter in the cafeteria. The Sheridan Student Union has a burrito counter as well as a more traditional student union bar/pub (eat in/take out/order online). Finally, there are several restaurants across the street (we like the taco and shawarma places) as well as a Whole Foods just down Trafalgar.
Brief Template
To help ensure consistency across the program, we make use of a standardized brief template. The template ensures students receive the same information and structure for each project. The content of the template shown below and is also available for download below.
